ABOUT H A N N A

Hanna Ventura is an actor, singer, poet, and Applied Theater teaching artist - born and raised in Queens, NY.

 

A New York City native,  Hanna has worked with professional theaters and conservatories from a young age all across New York City. Besides the stage, she has been featured in independent short films and especially live entertainment. Some memorable past credits include EXISTENCE (Theater for the New City) Women On The Verge Of A Nervous Breakdown ( City College Center for the Arts)  and Ragtime (Wingspan Arts Conservatory) She is a proud Latina of mixed race descent and   aspires to engage in authentic work that includes and celebrates diverse faces and voices. 

 

Hanna is a graduate from The City College of New York where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Theater and Sociology. She's currently finishing up her Master's Degree in Applied Theater from CUNY School of Professional Studies. In her spare time, she enjoys being a teaching artist  co-creating, developing, and implementing meaningful community based workshops & educational programs aimed to not only foster learning, but seek understanding, conversation and community through theater-based activities and/or participatory dramas.
